Each pfpid is a non-transferrable NFT; it is locked to your Ethereum wallet and can only be minted once you have verified your real-world identity. Think of it as your blockchain ID card.
But why? Use it to sign in, to verify your identity on socials, to skip KYC processes, to enter events and spaces, to validate emails, to access exclusive NFT drops and more. All on your terms.
Those that join the Discord before the 11th of April can mint a Gold variant pfpid. Everyone else has a 1 in 100 chance of drawing this variant.
Each pfpid is generated from a set of 180 handmade gradients. There are over 7 billion possible artwork combinations; yours will be unique.

In Phase 0, we're sharing the pfpid mission, and hoping that the promise of that mission will drive distribution. We have big ambitions for this project and getting the primitive into your hands is the first step.

Immediately after the public mint, we'll shift our engineering focus to the pfpid SDK, an open-source library which will allow third parties to integrate pfpids in their authentication and KYC flows.
The "blue tick for the rest of us" phase. Verify ownership of your social accounts by associating them with your pfpid. Prove you are the person behind your Twitter, Discord and Github accounts for safer online interactions.
The pfpid can play an important role in the prevention of phishing attacks and social engineering; we're excited to share more on what may be the most significant element of the project.
Each pfpid is grounded in both art and technology. As a nod to the NFT projects that led the way, we'll be releasing a tradeable collection that will be exclusive to pfpid holders and derived from your pfpid artwork.
We're one Apple Wallet integration away from building a bridge between the universe and the metaverse. Use your pfpid to unlock doors to physical events and spaces in the offline crypto ecosystem.
pfpid was built by Nev Flynn, Conor Deegan and Finn Murphy.
pfpid is an on-chain identity primitive; think of it as your blockchain ID card. You can only mint a pfpid once you've verified your identity by completing a KYC process. The results of the KYC process (your nationality, DOB, etc.) are then encrypted and stored in the metadata of the pfpid NFT. You can decrypt this information when interacting with third parties that partner with pfpid. This allows you to use your pfpid to skip future KYC processes, auth yourself, access physical spaces and more.
An individual can only ever hold one pfpid. It is possible to transfer your pfpid to a different wallet, but this will require burning the original pfpid.
The mint price for a pfpid is .05 ETH; roughly equivalent to the price of a physical identity card.
Presale will begin on the 11th of April for anyone with a VERY EARLY role. To become a VERY EARLY community member, you'll need to join the Discord before the 11th of April. Public mint will begin on the 14th of April.
We believe that your data should be owned and controlled by you. All of the sensitive data stored in the metadata of your pfpid is encrypted. Only you, the holder of the pfpid, can encrypt and decrypt this data meaning you have full control over when your data can be viewed in plaintext by others. We use the AES-256 cipher and only you have access to the key required for encryption and decryption of your data. This secret key is generated using a value known only to you, your Ethereum private key. By creating a unique digital signature which can only be created by the holder of a specific private key, an encryption and decryption key can be generated using a key derivation function with the digital signature as a password. The entire process takes place in your browser and keys are never sent over a network.
