79. Willow is the greatest adventure you forgot about

Hello nomads and welcome to our discussion about the fun 1988 Ron Howard movie, Willow. Before Star Wars, George Lucas started writing about the a little farmer who wanted to become a great sorcerer and the vast adventures he'd go on.

So what did this movie do for little people actors? Did it deserve a sequel? Is this Val Kilmer's most charming role? And why is this film's theme song so damn good?

Stick around until Act 3 for a short round of "5 and 10" where Dave and Eric take turns having to name 5 things in 10 seconds.

Hello nomads and welcome to our conversation about Portal 2. Just like our episode about the first Portal game, we have nothing but praise for this one. And we're not alone with our love of the Portal series, Mike from the podcast "Games My Mom Found" joins in on the fun.

Portal 2, which was made by Valve back in 2011 has everything you'd want in a sequel. More lore. More test chambers. More AI. More humor. More mystery. More more more more. And it has coop on top of an incredible single player campaign.

Honestly, if you've never played this game, don't let us spoil it for you. Go play it and then come back and gush with us.

No, we were joined by Tom from Response Message to talk about the Dredd movie that came out in 2012, that technically is an Alex Garland movie. That's a good thing. Many people missed this one, but it's definitely worth your time. In a way, this movie plays out like an awesome 2-player coop video-game with mini-bosses and cool weapons.

Stick around into Act 3 where we play a round of Video Game 20 Questions.

Episode 41: Is Last Action Hero movie magic or a bad act?

Hello nomads, and we have to ask, anyone who hasn't seen Last Action Hero is making a big mistake. Fun fact, the director of Die Hard, Hunt for Red October and Predator, John McTiernan, also directed this film. This random action-comedy-parody that starred Arnold Schwarzenegger was probably missed by many, but we'd recommend giving this movie a chance. If you are a fan of the action movies from the 80's and 90's, you're gonna love this.

Hello nomads, welcome to our discussion of the fantastic movie, Parasite. It was written and directed by Bong Joon-Ho back in 2019 and what a ride this film is. Both Eric and Dave hadn't seen the movie before so we kick things off with capturing their reaction, then we get into the plot and the characters. Wasn't that second half of the movie insane?! What was the plan for the Kim's? Who is the parasite, the Kim's or the Park's?

Episode 39: The beautiful mystery of Firewatch

Hello nomads and welcome to our discussion about one of our favorite indie games from back in 2016, Firewatch. Firewatch is a fairly short game that takes 4-5 hours to play, and it was made by a super talented, yet small team, Camp Santo. This game has great music, fantastic art direction, great acting, and an unforgettable story. We highly suggest you play the game before listening to this show.

Poor Henry, maybe we'll meet you and Delilah once again if they ever make the film adaption. Or maybe this story is best left to be a short, sweet, and mysterious little game that made everyone escape their life for a couple hours.

The Book of Boba Fett: Chapter 7 Quick Review

Hello nomads and here we are, the final episode of The Book of Boba Fett. So what did you think about chapter 7? Did it deliver on expectations? Did you get enough Boba Fett in this one? What happens next? Also, how bad ass is Boba Fett riding a Rancor with one hand?!

We're a little mixed on this one, but overall we enjoyed the episode as well as the first season for this iconic character. It's always a sad thing when a Star Wars show ends, but we have Kenobi, Ahsoka, and The Mandalorian Season 3 to look forward to.

Episode 38: Should the Blade Runner movies be renowned or retired?

Hello nomads, and welcome to our conversation about two movies. That's right, we watched both Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 together for this episode. While the first film may have been a box office flop originally, it did gain a cult following over time, and arguably has one of the best sequels in sci-fi. What makes these movies so influential? What does it mean to be human? And why is Deckard kind of a jerk for a protagonist?

Also, check out the fun music game we play at the end of the episode.

While this one is a little different than the rest of this season, the world building, seeing Mando again, we're excited to see how everything is going to come together.
